What your background check will disclose really depends on how thorough your employer wants to be, and of course how much money they're willing to spend. It costs an employer a lot more for a comprehensive, detailed background check then it does if they just want to make sure that you haven't robbed any banks lately. I will tell you that at my employer, your arrest wouldn't even show up on the report. Even if it did, the only details would be the date of the arrest, the date of the trial, and the charges. Details of the sentencing aren't included in the report.
