Has anyone figured out the true identity of Jack the Ripper?

I was watching a documentary the other night on the Discovery Channel in which a retired detective identified him as James Kelly. I think the circumstancial evidence against Kelly is pretty overwhelming, but I've heard differing opinions as to who he really was.
